15 April, 2022
Find a Compatible Minecraft Map:
Before uploading a map to your Server.pro Minecraft server, you need to find a compatible map that suits your desired gameplay experience. There are numerous websites and forums dedicated to Minecraft maps where you can browse and download maps created by the Minecraft community. Pay attention to the Minecraft version compatibility of the map to ensure it works with your server version.
Extract and Prepare the Map Files:
Once you have downloaded a map, it is likely to be in a compressed format such as .zip or .rar. Extract the files from the compressed folder using a file extraction tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip. You should now have a folder containing the map files.
Access the Server.pro Control Panel:
Log in to your Server.pro account and access the control panel for your Minecraft server. The control panel provides you with various options to manage your server, including uploading custom maps.
Connect to Your Server's FTP:
In the control panel, look for the FTP or File Manager section. This section allows you to connect to your server's FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to manage and upload files. Click on the FTP section to access the FTP client.
Upload the Map Files:
Using the FTP client, navigate to the "world" folder or the folder specified for map uploads. In the local panel (your computer), locate the extracted map files. Select all the map files and folders, then drag and drop them into the remote panel (your server's FTP). This will begin the upload process, transferring the map files from your computer to the server.
Verify Map Upload:
Once the upload is complete, navigate back to the control panel and check if the map files are now present in the designated folder. This verifies that the map has been successfully uploaded to your Server.pro Minecraft server.
Select and Activate the Map:
Return to the control panel and look for the "World" or "Map" section. In this section, you should find a list of available maps, including the one you just uploaded. Select the desired map and activate it. This sets the uploaded map as the active map for your Minecraft server.
Restart and Explore:
To apply the changes, restart your Minecraft server from the control panel. Once the server restarts, players will be able to join and explore the newly uploaded map, experiencing the new challenges and adventures it offers.
